"The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has initiated its 2026 Coordinated Enforcement Framework (CEF) action, focusing on GDPR transparency and information obligations (Articles 12, 13, and 14). Twenty-five national data protection authorities (DPAs) will participate across Europe to evaluate how data controllers inform individuals about the processing of their personal data. Participating DPAs will conduct audits, fact-finding exercises, or enforcement actions throughout the year. The initiative aims to aggregate national findings into a unified European report by year-end, which will facilitate targeted follow-up actions and enhance harmonized enforcement of data rights across the EU digital landscape."
