"Liander and Enexis, two of the Netherlands' largest distribution system operators, have urged residential and commercial customers to manage their electricity consumption and solar feed-in during peak periods to alleviate grid congestion. Starting July 2026, the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) will introduce new priority rules for grid connections, downgrading households and businesses in favor of essential facilities like care and education. About 7,300 customers face connection delays. Enexis invested a record €1.9 billion in 2025, unlocking 542 MW of flexible capacity through contracts and grid management."
