"BBC satellite imagery confirms the imminent completion of the first direct road link between Russia and North Korea. The Khasan-Tumangang bridge across the Tumen River is scheduled to open on June 19, 2026. The project was agreed during Putin's June 2024 visit to Pyongyang and built in about one year. The bridge is roughly one kilometer long, two-lane, and designed for 300 vehicles and 3,000 people daily. It primarily serves military logistics, as North Korea supports Russia's war in Ukraine with troops and materiel."
