"The unmanned hypersonic aircraft Quarterhorse Mk 2.1, developed by US company Hermeus, broke the sound barrier on its third flight, reaching Mach 1.21. The test was conducted over the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The successor Mk 2.2 is already under construction. Hermeus follows a rapid prototyping approach with one aircraft per year."
