However, 81% say business processes have become more complicated, and 84% report increased effort. 72% believe Germany exaggerates data protection. AI development is particularly affected: 69% see data protection as an obstacle to training AI models, and 63% believe it drives AI developers out of the EU. The study calls for a risk-oriented reform."
