"On 3 June 2026, the European Commission adopted a package of measures to bolster Europe's digital autonomy, including the Chips Act 2.0, the Cloud and AI Development Act, an Open Source Strategy, and a Strategic Roadmap for Digitalisation and AI in Energy. The package aims to reduce the EU's reliance on non-EU providers for over 80% of key digital products and services, strengthening competitiveness, resilience, and strategic autonomy."
