"The European Commission adopted a proposal for the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA) on 3 June 2026 to strengthen the EU's cloud and AI ecosystem. It focuses on R&D, expanding data centre capacity, and introducing an EU-wide sovereignty assessment framework. CADA complements the Apply AI strategy, Chips Act 2.0, and the EU Open Source Strategy."
