"The French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) has placed an order with Swedish company Saab for NLAW (Next Generation Light Antitank Weapon) short-range anti-tank missiles. The order comes two years after the French Army first expressed the need. Deliveries will begin in 2026 and continue until 2030. The contract includes weapon systems, indoor and outdoor simulators, and optional tranches for additional units. Each NLAW costs approximately €23,000, has a range of 20 to 800 meters, and can penetrate 500 mm of armor. The decision was influenced by lessons from the Ukraine war."
