French Navy to test Akeron RCX 50 loitering munition by MBDA and Novadem (opex360.com)

"The French Navy will test the Akeron RCX 50 loitering munition developed by MBDA in partnership with Novadem. A contract from the French defense procurement agency DGA was awarded at Eurosatory. The compact weapon measures 50 cm, weighs 2 kg, has a range of 10 km, and an endurance of 40 minutes. It can perform surveillance and precision strikes against fixed or moving targets. MBDA emphasizes low cost for mass production. Testing will involve both the Army Technical Section and the Navy."
