French DGA Delivers Final 50th Mirage 2000D Upgraded to RMV Standard (opex360.com)

• DGA delivers 50th and final Mirage 2000D RMV to French Air and Space Force
• Upgrade includes open architecture, MICA missiles, gun pod, new mission software
• Aircraft to form basis of HypAIRion collaborative combat drone project

"The French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) delivered the 50th and final Mirage 2000D upgraded to the RMV (Mid-Life Upgrade) standard on July 1, 2026. The program began in 2015 to keep the aircraft operational until the full transition to the Rafale. The jet, number 685 (registration 3-XZ), was assigned to the 3rd Fighter Wing at Nancy-Ochey. The upgrade includes an open-architecture computer, new mission software, MICA IR missiles, a 30mm gun pod, and laser-guided bombs. Two additional jets were converted to test aircraft. The upgrades were performed by AIA Clermont-Ferrand in coordination with scheduled maintenance. The aircraft will serve as the backbone for the HypAIRion collaborative combat drone project."
