NATO Appoints Major General Antoine Laurijssen as Director of Policy and Capabilities (nato.int)

• Major General Laurijssen served as Chief of Staff of NATO JSEC in Ulm, Germany from 2022 to 2024.
• He participated in the 1991 and 2003 Gulf Wars as well as UN missions in the former Yugoslavia.
• He holds master's degrees in Public Administration and Strategic Studies.

"Major General Antoine Richard Laurijssen, a Dutch officer with extensive experience in air defense and logistics, has been appointed as NATO's Director of Policy and Capabilities as of November 2024. His career includes roles in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, deployments in the Gulf Wars and UN missions, and most recently as Chief of Staff of NATO's Joint Support and Enabling Command in Germany."
