"Lieutenant General Remigijus Baltrėnas has been appointed as the Director General of the International Military Staff (DGIMS) at NATO effective July 2025. He is a graduate of the Lithuanian Military Academy and the US Army War College. With over 30 years in the Lithuanian Armed Forces, he has held key positions including Vice Chief of Defence, Director of Defence Intelligence, and Lithuanian Military Representative to NATO and the EU. He previously served in Afghanistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is married with two children."
