"Bjarni Vestmann, an Icelandic diplomat, has been appointed as the Military Representative of Iceland to NATO's Military Committee, a role he previously held from 2002 to 2004. Vestmann brings extensive experience in security and defence, including involvement in the takeover of Pristina Airport during KFOR and Kabul Airport for ISAF. He also co-chaired the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) with Ireland and led Iceland's participation in various NATO exercises."
