"A modified Saab 340B with a hybrid-electric propulsion system from NASA and GE Aerospace reached 30,000 feet (9,100 m), a first for hybrid-electric aircraft. The megawatt-class powertrain combines an electric motor, gas turbine, and battery. The project included Boeing and BetaTechnologies. The aircraft is being displayed at the Farnborough Air Show."
