"U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer strongly criticized a German draft law requiring streaming platforms like Netflix to invest 8% of German revenue in local productions, warning it could violate the recently finalized EU-U.S. Turnberry trade agreement. The German cabinet approved the bill on Wednesday. Greer accused the measure of treating American companies as a "piggy bank for protectionist projects."
