"The European Space Agency (ESA) will open a new security centre in Warsaw, Poland. This is ESA's first facility in a non-founding member state and the first in Central and Eastern Europe. Poland committed a record €731 million for 2026–2028, including over €100 million for the 'European Resilience from Space' initiative. The centre will cover space security, dual-use technologies, satellite communications, and crisis management, strengthening ESA's presence on the Eastern Flank. The announcement was made on 13 July 2026 by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher, Polish PM Donald Tusk, and Finance Minister Andrzej Domański."
