"Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin have reverse-engineered the signal structure of SpaceX's Starlink Ku-band downlink (10.7-12.7 GHz). They developed a blind OFDM signal identification technique and extracted exact synchronization sequences that can be used for pseudorange measurements. This enables opportunistic positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) using Starlink signals, offering higher power, wider bandwidth, and better jamming resilience than GPS. The paper details parameters such as channel bandwidth, subcarrier spacing, cyclic prefix length, and frame timing, plus 4QAM/16QAM modulation."
