"NATO has advanced the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda since 2000, rooted in UN Security Council Resolution 1325. The policy, most recently updated in 2024, integrates gender perspectives across all NATO activities. The 2021-2025 Action Plan promotes gender equality. Special Representative Irene Fellin oversees implementation. Gender Advisors are deployed in military structures and missions like KFOR and NMI. Partnerships with UN, EU, and OSCE enhance cooperation."
