"Munich auction house Karl & Faber will auction 66 lots of modern and contemporary art on June 11–12, 2026. The top lot is Joan Miró's 'Peinture' (estimate €2–2.5 million) from his 1936 Masonite series. Other highlights: Auguste Renoir's 'Femme nue allongée' (€600,000–700,000), Max Beckmann's portrait of Rietje & Nelly Lütjens (€500,000–700,000, previously sold under reserve for €760,000 in 2023), and Paula Modersohn-Becker's 'Two Girls Standing by a Birch Trunk' (€300,000–400,000). Provenance research on Max Liebermann's painting found no indication of Nazi-confiscation."
