"Lieutenant General TURAN, born 1970 in Istanbul, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and served as a fighter pilot on F-16, E-3 AWACS, and KC-135. He held commands including Commander of the 9th Main Jet Base in Balıkesir and Deputy Commander of Air Combat Command. Since August 2024, he has been the Turkish Military Representative to NATO. He has over 4,300 flight hours and NATO medals."
