"The European Central Bank (ECB) has opened an online survey allowing EU citizens to vote on the design of the next series of euro banknotes. Ten proposals are presented under two themes: 'European Culture' (featuring famous historical figures) and 'Rivers and Birds' (showcasing natural ecosystems). The survey runs until 21 September 2026. The ECB Governing Council is expected to select a final design by end of 2026. The new notes will incorporate enhanced security features, improved durability, and better accessibility for the visually impaired."
