"Portugal's unemployment rate fell to 5.7% in April 2026, down 0.1 percentage points from March and 0.5 points year-on-year, remaining below the EU average of 6.0% and eurozone average of 6.3%. Youth unemployment in Portugal was 17.9%, above the EU average of 15.1%."
