"On 25 May 2026, Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya arrived in Kyiv for a two-day official visit at the personal invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky. During a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, she stated that Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia would open the path to freedom for Belarus. Sybiha ruled out lifting sanctions against Lukashenka and expressed support for including Belarusian democratic forces in the Lublin Triangle. Zelensky stressed that Russia is increasingly trying to involve Belarus in the war and voiced support for Belarusian independence."
