"Standard Ubuntu installations are vulnerable to a privilege escalation flaw in snap-confine, allowing local users to gain root access. Qualys discovered the issue (CVE-2026-8933, CVSS 7.8). Affected versions: Ubuntu Desktop 24.04, 25.10, 26.04, and 22.04 LTS. Updated snap packages are available."
