Snøhetta wins competition for new Düsseldorf opera house (faz.net)

"Over a thousand citizens attended the eighth forum on the future of the Opera am Rhein in Düsseldorf to learn about the winning design by the Norwegian firm Snøhetta. More than 50 architecture firms from around the world participated in the planning competition; 27 were invited to submit designs. Eight entries reached the second round, and four were awarded. The new Deutsche Oper am Rhein will be designed by Snøhetta."
