"On March 27, 2026, a coalition of European IT companies led by IONOS and Nextcloud announced Euro-Office, an open-source office suite for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, in Berlin. The suite aims for full compatibility with Microsoft formats and a familiar interface. A tech preview is available immediately on GitHub; the first stable release is planned for June 2026. The initiative targets European digital sovereignty in public administrations, enterprises, and educational institutions."
