"The pilot of an F-15E shot down over Iran on April 3, 2026, was also the pilot of one of three F-15Es shot down in a friendly fire incident by a Kuwaiti F/A-18 on March 1, 2026. He is almost certainly the first US Air Force pilot to be shot down twice in the same conflict since Vietnam. The weapon systems officer suffered a parachute malfunction and was injured."
