"Google released the June 2026 security update for Android, closing 18 critical vulnerabilities affecting versions 14, 15, 16, and 16-qpr2. The flaws in the System component could allow privilege escalation and denial-of-service attacks. Additional critical issues in the Framework and a high-severity kernel vulnerability were also fixed. Third-party components from Imagination Technologies, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Unisoc are patched. No evidence of exploitation yet. Users are advised to install the 2026-06-01 or 2026-06-05 patch level."
