"A June 8, 2026 report by the Danish National Audit Office (Rigsrevisionen) states that operating costs for Denmark's 27 F-35A fighters will be about 25 percent higher than initial estimates. The Ministry of Defence had not adequately informed parliament. The 30-year total cost rises from 57.1 billion DKK to at least 71.1 billion DKK (about €9.5 billion). Reducing flight hours is proposed as a possible solution."
