"The US is in exploratory talks to station dual-capable aircraft (bombers that can carry nuclear warheads) in more European NATO countries beyond the current six (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, UK). Poland and several Baltic states have expressed interest. Pentagon official Elbridge Colby stated the US will continue to use nuclear weapons to protect NATO allies even if Europe leads in conventional forces. No imminent agreement."
