AWS European Sovereign Cloud expands AI offerings with new models and agent tools (heise.de)

"At the AWS Summit, Amazon announced an expansion of AI offerings in the European Sovereign Cloud. New models including Amazon Nova 2 Lite, Mistral AI, and OpenAI will be available on Amazon Bedrock. The new Mantle inferencing engine promises Zero Operator Access for sensitive workloads. Agent-based development tools Kiro, Quick, and Transform were presented. Kiro gains a requirements analysis engine and parallel task execution. AWS Transform enables modernization within agentic development environments. The Sovereign Cloud has been generally available since January 2026, with its first region in Brandenburg."
