"The French Air and Space Force (AAE) is using two upgraded Mirage 2000D RMV aircraft as flying testbeds for the HypAIRion project, which aims to develop AI algorithms for collaborative combat aircraft (CCA). The Mirage 2000D was chosen because its open computer architecture allows rapid software updates, unlike the closed system of the Rafale F4. First CCA prototypes are expected by 2028, with the Rafale F5 fully integrated by 2030. The project is run by CEAM and the defense AI agency AMIAD."
