- Campaign uses pre-bunking to expose Kremlin disinformation before it spreads
"Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar has adopted a pre-bunking strategy to counter a Kremlin-backed disinformation campaign aimed at boosting Viktor Orbán in the April 2026 elections. At a 15 March rally in Budapest, Magyar led chants of 'Russians go home!'. According to investigative outlet VSquare, three agents with links to Russia's GRU recently arrived in Budapest to employ methods previously tested in Moldova. Magyar's campaign is proactively exposing the disinformation narrative before it spreads, rather than reacting afterward."
