"In his fourth major final, German tennis player Alexander Zverev defeated Italy's Flavio Cobolli 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1 to win the French Open men's singles title. It is Zverev's first Grand Slam championship. The match lasted over four hours on 7 June 2026 at Roland Garros. Zverev had previously lost two-set leads in Grand Slam finals and suffered a serious ankle injury on the same court in 2022."
