• Attacks via zero-click exploit during his tenure on the Pegasus inquiry committee.
• Citizen Lab suspects involvement of an NSO client who also targeted journalists.

"While the European Parliament's special committee investigated illegal use of Pegasus spyware, the iPhone of Greek MEP Stelios Kouloglou (Syriza) was successfully infected three times. Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto identified attacks on 21 October 2022 and twice in March 2023. A zero-click exploit was used. Kouloglou was a deputy member of the committee. Attribution is unclear, but Citizen Lab suspects an NSO client who also targeted Russian and Belarusian journalists. Attacks occurred in two EU states, suggesting a license."
