"NATO Allied Air Command has announced the deployment of additional fighter jets and personnel to the alliance's eastern flank, marking a transition from Air Policing to an enhanced Air Defence mission. Turkey will send five F-16s and 80 personnel to Estonia, Italy will send four Eurofighter Typhoons and 100 personnel to Lithuania, and Spain will send around 200 personnel, seven F-18s and one A400M to Romania, with three NH-90 helicopters possible in a later phase.
