"The Digital Citizens Alliance report estimates that over 20 million residential IP connections in the US are used by proxy services annually, often without homeowners' knowledge. Of analyzed IPs, 80% were linked to residential addresses and 85% were flagged as fraud-associated. Researchers tracked 26 million unique residential IPs over 30 days, with half appearing across multiple providers.
