"French aircraft manufacturer Aura Aero, via its military subsidiary Aura M, has started preliminary design work on a Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA). The stealthy drone, under 5 tons with an internal weapons bay, aims for a first demonstrator flight in 2028. CEO Jérémy Caussade announced this at Eurosatory 2026. The DGA recently issued a request for information on CCA. France is seen as lagging behind the US, Australia, Turkey, China, Germany, and the Netherlands in this domain."
