"Germany and France have agreed at the Franco-German Ministerial Council to develop a European digital backbone to reduce reliance on US technology in security and military domains. France's domestic intelligence service terminated its Palantir contract, while Germany's Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution opted for French alternative ChapsVision. The two countries will partner their new AI safety institutes to enforce the EU AI Act. In defense, they agreed on a common standard for the FCAS fighter jet and a research program for the MGCS tank system."
