"The anonymity-focused Linux distribution Tails 7.8.1 addresses multiple security vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel and Tor client. The kernel update to version 6.12.90-2 fixes the high-severity flaw CVE-2026-43503 (CVSS 8.8). Tor client 0.4.9.9 resolves issues with compression bombs and out-of-bounds memory access. Attacks by state actors are theoretically possible but not yet observed. The update is available as USB and ISO images."
