Germany signs first Canadian LNG contract with Indigenous consortium (heise.de)

"Germany, through state-owned gas importer Sefe, has signed a 20-year contract for one million tonnes of LNG per year from Canada starting in the early 2030s. The gas will come from British Columbia's Montney Formation, transported via a new 900 km pipeline to Pearse Island, then shipped through the Panama Canal to Europe. The supplier is the Ksi Lisims LNG consortium, including the Nisga'a Indigenous Nation, Rockies LNG Partners, and Western LNG. The volume represents about 1.5% of Germany's annual gas consumption. The project requires a final investment decision of approximately CAD 10 billion."
