NATO Appoints Javier Colomina as Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood (nato.int)

• Javier Colomina appointed NATO Special Representative for Southern Neighbourhood from Dec 2024.
• He concurrently holds the role of Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy.
• Previous experience includes diplomatic missions in Syria, Argentina, Japan, and as Special Representative for Caucasus and Central Asia.

"Javier Colomina, a Spanish diplomat, has been appointed as NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood, effective December 2024. He also serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy. Colomina's career includes posts at the UN, embassies in Syria, Argentina, Japan, and prior NATO roles focusing on the Caucasus and Central Asia."
