"ESA formally adopted the Arrakihs mission (Analysis of Resolved Remnants of Accreted galaxies as a Key Instrument for Halo Surveys) on 10 June 2026. The F-class mission is slated for launch in late 2030 and will image faint light from haloes of Milky Way-like galaxies to study galaxy formation. Its instrument comprises two binocular telescopes with four cameras covering near-UV to near-IR. Spain leads the consortium; Satlantis is developing the science instrument."
