"Chinese tech conglomerate Alibaba filed a lawsuit in a federal court in San José against the US government, challenging its placement on a Pentagon list of companies allegedly linked to the Chinese military. Alibaba denies the allegations and demands removal from the list, citing irreparable business harm. Direct sanctions are not yet imposed, but from 2027 the Pentagon will be barred from purchasing products or services from listed firms even through third parties."
