"The Swiss parking surveillance companies Funkwache AG and Unisecur GmbH left a database administration tool accessible without password protection over the internet, exposing personal data of tens of thousands of drivers, including names, addresses, vehicle details, and information on criminal proceedings. The data was accessible since at least March 2026, possibly since December 2020. The Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB) is investigating after the companies failed to report the leak.
