"The European Commission has announced the consortium Europa, led by Italian company Domyn, as the winner of the Frontier AI Grand Challenge. The consortium will develop an open-source AI model with over 400 billion parameters covering all 24 EU official languages. It will receive access to up to 2.5% of EuroHPC supercomputing capacity for one year. The model will be released as open source to strengthen European digital sovereignty. Domyn already has models like Domyn-Large (263B parameters) and Colosseum-355B."
