"President Prabowo Subianto announced a plan on May 20 to centralize exports of key raw materials including coal, palm oil, nickel, and potentially bauxite, copper, and tin under a state-owned enterprise supervised by the Danantara sovereign wealth fund. The move aims to increase state revenue and combat under-invoicing, amid fiscal pressure from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
