"On 1 July 2026, the Verkhovna Rada passed the Law on the National Pantheon, submitted by the president two days earlier. The bill was fast-tracked and approved unanimously with 287 votes. The pantheon in Kyiv will honor distinguished figures from Ukrainian history, including Kyivan Rus rulers, Cossack hetmans, and presidents. A commission will compile the list.
