"On June 7, 2026, attackers compromised a user account on Tchap, the French government's instant messaging service. Official statement from DINUM confirmed the breach, with 73,467 users (roughly 9% of user base) affected. Unencrypted public chats and personal data (name, email, company, avatar) were exposed, while private chats remained protected by end-to-end encryption. France's ANSSI cyber agency validated the incident and locked the compromised account. Investigation continues; threat actors claim to possess 13.5 GB of data."
