"ESA and French energy provider EDF signed a partnership agreement on 10 February 2026 to continue and expand energy efficiency improvements at Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. The partnership, initiated in 2019, has generated €2 million in energy saving incentives, funding proof-of-concept projects like an ice storage system and heat pump. The new phase aims for an additional €1.2 million in savings."
